I've been working on this game for about 6 years+, and am almost ready to start the early access campaign on Steam!
I could always use more feedback! I want Grabbus to make a good first impression.
Grabbus has a visual style inspired by 90's cartoons and Sega Saturn/Genesis games, but with experimental gameplay of its own!
Not all of this is 100% complete, but the idea is...
On the world map, you'll be exploring and building, finding new events, locations, and characters to visit, and extracting helpful resources from the infinite landscape.
In the towers, you'll fight enemies, find loot, fuse items and weapons, and clear floors or objectives for rewards to bring back to the world map. World turns pass for each floor of a tower you clear.
Using your currency earned from playing, you can invest in the endless passive bonus grid or place buildings!
As you succeed, the difficulty of battles goes up slowly, incrementally, but so do the rewards! If you perish, you'll lose your held items and half your unbanked currency, in addition to the difficulty level falling by a percentage, like a slip down the ladder!
Over time, I'll be adding many new features, items, decoration, characters, enemies, locations, objectives, anything and everything.
